Notes from Lyndzi

Well I must say that it has been quite fun posting this blog. So now that I have heard from all of you, I will let you in on me. I am married still, and we live in Midvale. We love working on our house and we have become quite the fixer uppers. I have found my new love of gardening and I am a true garden nerd. Jake makes fun of me quit a bit for it. The family is good. My Mom misses all of you gals too. Jake is building fancy schmancy staircases for Bishop Woodworking and I am still working as the assistant manager at Mountain America Credit Union. We are work aholics but in our spare time we have been watching Biggest Loser or American Idol. We also hang out with family or play with our only child named Cleo. Yes, she is a little weiner dog and she rules the roof at our house. I love the picture of her. Also, the other picture is from a murder mystery dinner we did and Jake and I were Sunny and Cher. Don't we look real. I even put Mascara on his mustache and my eyebrows for the full effect. It was lots of fun. We both have callings in the Youth. Jake is in the Scouts and I am in the Young Women and it keeps us busy. We have quite a few little 12 and 13 year olds that think that we are their second parents and we just love it. This summer I am playing softball on a co-ed team again. It is pretty fun. I play 2nd base and I love it. Jake likes to take his dirt bike out any chance he can get. Mostly it is around the block but on the weekends he gets to take it up in the hills. I love being married. Can't wait for you to join the club Geri!

Notes from Rachel

We are still in Las Vegas and loving it. Brian and I both graduated with Master's degrees in December. He is still working on getting his teaching license and will hopefully be a certified teacher by the fall. I am teaching Microbiology part time at the community college and really enjoying it. There are no classes for the summer, so I will start again in the fall. Leah is 4 years old. She is in preschool and dance class, so I stay busy running her around. Annie will be 2 in June and she is super fun. I just look at her and chuckle. She is quite naughty, but it is hard to be mad when she looks up at you and smiles. We are also expecting baby number 3 on October 20th. On June 3rd we will find out if we are getting a tweeter or a begonia. I must admit that I am nervous about a tweeter coming, but we will take what we get. If any of you are ever in our neck of the woods, feel free to contact us and we can take you around.

Lisa's Notes

I am living in Ogden, just down the street from the maxi pad. We go to the church right across from that sacred shrine. I heard recently that the city had to "shut down" the maxi pad and insist that the residents be family. So now a white trash family is living there, and I think Jacque has his rv parked in the front.
Anyhow, I married Michael Allen who was in our singles ward. We lived in Arizona for a while, then we came back here and we've lived in his cute old house ever since. I have a love hate relationship with the house. It's so fun to work on it and make it our own, and I love its character, but there are always things to do with it.
I teach Sophomore and Junior English at Davis High, and I love it. I'm also five months pregnant with a baby girl that's due August 15th. I'm so excited to be a mom and also a little nervous for the upcoming transition.
As far as a favorite memory goes, I think there's too many to tell. But one that comes to mind is when I came home one night only to find my room covered from floor to ceiling in pictures of boobs. Not naked boobs; just bra-covered boobs cut out of Victoria's Secret catalogs. I have never seen a group of girls so proud of themselves as I did that night.
So that's about it. I think of you girls often and hope you're all doing well! I'd love to hear from you guys anytime!

Well I had a baby. His name is Emerson Francis Minalga after Drew’s Grandfather. I work two days a week at Research park at the U. I more famous there for a picture I took as a joke, which is showing up on a few brochures for the U’s brain Institute and Nueropathology program. Drew Watches Emerson one day and I bring him to work on the other. Still live in Kaysville. Just to be fair to Drew we may move to Pittsburgh in the future. A sound wall is going up behind our house and I am ubber excited.

Hi All:This is Brooke...Brooke Victor..my name has not changed for 5 years..That's right, 5 YEARS! Is that crazy. What is more crazy is that I was "dating" Brody from the "Rat Pack" one day and the next, Tyler came up to see me and a month later I was engaged to Tyler....Well, that was after 3 years of dating so I'd say it was about time. We just had our 5-year Anniversary on May 3! We live in Pocatello, Idaho...Acutally, Chubbuck, Idaho...just cross the street and you're in Chubbuck. We are proud to say we are from Chubbuck only because we have less white trash. No, I didn't say NO white trash...just less than Pocatello. It is windy almost everyday here. I hate the wind. We lived in a lovely "fixer-upper" house for about 2 years and then built a new house about a year ago. Tyler loved it so much that he decided to build 2 more this year. We didn't move into either of them, just sold them but it makes me want to build my own again too. I think we are the roaming type, we won't be in a house for more that 2 or 3 years. That is always good for me since I get to re-decorate and that just means that I get to shop!! We don't have any kids yet, working on it though!! I think that once we have kids we might "fit-in" a little better with our neighbors and maybe we'll stay in a good neighborhood for a while longer. Hopefully by the time I'm 60, we'll move back to Utah. That is after we've retired and aren't tied to any of our businesses here. Right now it would be too hard to live in Utah and commute to the Motels we own. If anybody is traveling to Lava Hot Springs, we've got a room for you!! The businesses keep us on our toes at all times, luckily Tyler does that full time and can focus on expanding and improving them. Sometimes I am thankful that I still have a day job or else I'd be dragged along to one Motel or another to clean rooms or fix pipes or some other yucky job. I still work for First American Title as a Closing Officer so I am here more hours of the day than I am at home. I cherish my days off and of course, need more of them. We live pretty boring lives other than that. Work, eat, sleep and sometimes we find time to play. I miss all of you and the good times we had sitting on our Purple couches, or playing the game...i forget the technical name...the one where Rachel stands upstairs and hurls the Yoga ball at break-neck speed towards the unsuspecting target laying on his back in the family room, hoping it will bounce back to her. Ahh, the good ol' times. Her now-husband played that game many-a-time with her, guess he knew what he was getting in to! Anyway, that is plenty from me. LOVES!! I'll try to find a more recent pic of Tyler and I too!
